What is the best way to learn alternative health techniques and practices?
Q. I have always been extremely interested in alternative health techniques and treatments. I am currently in a very good job that I am not really crazy about. I would like to move into the alternative health field and would like to eventually open a health food store and small health spa. I know it is a process but I want to know where I can start. As far as I know (and I could be wrong) there is no school to go to learn alternative health. I don't know where to start learning and how. Also for the learning process I need to work around my full time job as I don't have the option to not work as I need the income. Is there an alternative to bolting down a vertical air compressor?
Q. I have a 80 gallon 2 stage air compressor. It is currently bolted down to the concrete garage floor. However, I will be moving into a house at the end of the month and the landlord does not want me drilling into the concrete floor. Is there an alternative to bolting down the compressor? Evidently bolting it down gives it structural support against the vibration. Any ideas?

I am a former chef from canada and it is possible to leave it out, I would use a bit more cocoa or melted dark chocolate, the sour cream just is used to activate the leavening agents, and for a lactose intolerent person then use the chocolate product, I do not like applesauce it doe leave a bit of a after taste, strained prunes make it nice even date puree.

What is an alternative to coaster brakes on a bicycle?
Q. I am in an engineering modeling and design class. Currently we are working with coaster brakes. I have already made one alternative to the clutch which would incorporate slanted teeth so that it may spin in one direction but lock up in the other direction. Any ideas to another clutch design? Well that would work but I have to change the clutch, my partners each have different parts of the coaster brakes.

A. Well, the obvious alternative is the one that millions of bikes use, which is rim brakes - which have an enormous leverage advantage over hub brakes and place much less strain on the spokes and structure of the wheel. But you probably knew that.

What are some alternative energies that are good to search for?
Q. I am doing a powerpoint about alternative energies. I need to know whether or not to go with hydroelectric, windmills, or something else. Please help.

A. As I drive i10 (from Texas to New Mexico) I see the huge windmills. McCamey, Texas claims to be the wind capital of Texas. I also read somewhere that the United States Air Force was the largest purchaser of air power. I have seen a BMW commercial recently for a hydrogen powered car. I wonder about the safety issues using that hydrogen. However, it does burn clean. I recently saw Solar cells for sell that could recharge your cell phone and started to wonder why solar cells weren't used (at least for partial power) in the new hybrid cars (Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, etc.) that are so popular. I would look at all three for expense and safety issues (whatever else your criteria might be) and then you have to decide for your self. Good luck… [cont.]

Q. My Paypal account was accessed by a third party recently and I nearly lost a lot of money. What is the safest alternative to Paypal when buying and selling online?. I cannot get a credit card, so that option is out.

A. I think I have faced the same problem with PayPal. I have lost $200 which I had to leave in my PayPal account. As I am from a non PayPal country I had been looking for a service provider as PayPal and got the right one. I use money bookers for all of my internet payments and it supports over 190 countries around the world and not as much complicated as PayPal.
