What is spring break season like while living in Daytona Beach?
Q. I am moving from a quaint, little Ohio town to Daytona/Ormond Beach, Florida for work. I am really excited for this move, however, I am a tad bit leery about spring break. I hear that the area becomes overrun with students, parties, fights, and loud music that will still be thumping at 3 AM. Is this true? Does anyone live in the Daytona area (or any popular spring break area) that has any suggestions?

A. This is true, I live in Florida and have been there but it is so much fun. We have just finished Gasparilla here in Tampa and we had two different parades that are difficult but alot of fun. It is the same there. Don't worry, you will get used to it. It's fun here in Florida and you will be very happy once here. The weather can't be beat and I can say when there isn't something going on you will wish there was something fun going on, join in and have some fun.

What Can I Do For Spring Break in New Orleans?
Q. I'm going to New Orleans with some friends for spring break next week (mon MAR 16 thru fri MAR 20). What is there to do that will be fun for spring break? (we are all 21+). I know that St. Patrick's Day is on Tues. But are there any clubs or things that tend to the college crowd? I want this to be a fun and crazy spring break.

A. If you want to do the tourist thing, you can hit bourbon... If you're looking for more local stuff, Check out: Decatur St. (the last street before the river in the quarter) - Lots of funky dive spots pretty good prices and LOTS of character. Frenchmen St. (a little past Esplanade) - excellent music and FOOD! Lots of free spots. OOORRR... Head Uptown! There are tons of bars uptown that are college crowd bars. (since that's where Tulane and Loyola are...) There's a street car that goes up from Canal St. (St. Charles) that goes all the way up for 1.50 a person. If I had to give you any advice, it'd be in the quarter venture onto the side streets! You get tourists and locals alike! (DON'T cross elysian fields, N.RAMPART, CANAL (by… [cont.]
